Posted

March 20, marked the official first day of spring for Delawareans. It’s an exciting time to renew, regrow, and reemerge in all aspects of our lives as the daffodils bring sparks of joy and the reminder of new life. Spring is an opportunity for change, preparation, and enlightenment as the days become longer, people are more active, and embrace the “out with the old, in with the new” mentality of spring cleaning.

The Central Delaware Chamber of Commerce (CDCC) invites you to keep this energy going by attending their 22nd Annual 55+ Expo coming Tuesday, April 4, at Bally’s Dover Casino Resort — Rollins Center, from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

The CDCC’s 55+ Expo has been operating strong for 22 consecutive years – thanks to attendees like you. The purpose of this event is to connect local businesses that support and cater to the needs of Delaware’s fastest growing population (the 55+ demographic), with those who need and enjoy their services. This event has been a strong pillar in facilitating caring for the needs of Delaware’s cherished community, in a fun, engaging, and grand way. This event also provides an opportunity for businesses throughout the state of Delaware and nearby states to introduce, market, and showcase their goods and services to the 55+ population (the prominent and growing sector of our population) and their caregivers.

Attending this free event guarantees an exciting day with over 40 different vendors covering various aspects of life to age comfortably and assist those who support them. Attendees can expect to speak to industry experts, healthcare professionals, and representatives from various organizations who truly care for their community. Attendees will have the opportunity to speak with representatives from each of these companies, ask questions, and gather information about the products and services that interest them and their loved ones. Also – you never know what goodies you might win to take home with you.

Keep your eyes open for the lineup of educational seminars and workshops featured throughout the day such as a Stretching Demo from the experts at CNU Fit, LLC, and an exciting fitness dance class from Dover Jazzercise. Guests have the opportunity to receive free on-site health screenings, gain information from the Wellness Center and Caregivers Support Exhibition. The Steppin’ Seniors of the Modern Maturity Center will also be present to bring smiles and active energy. The CDCC emphasizes that the resources available at this event are not exclusively for people 55 and older – anyone can find value in attending because surely we all know someone who is 55+, and one shouldn’t wait till they’re 55+ to begin planning for when they are 55+. The CDCC wants to help you and your loved ones alleviate some the worry, stress, and uncertainty of the future by offering this event to help you simplify your checklist towards living your best life.

Help the CDCC help you and your loved ones by attending this FREE community-focused event centered around one of Delaware’s pillar communities and the local businesses that strongly support them.
