Wicomico trailing state average in vaccines; clinics are open

The Wicomico County Health Department will offer walk-in and scheduled Covid-19 vaccine appointments for the Janssen (1 dose) and Moderna (2 doses) vaccines at the Wicomico Youth & Civic Center in Salisbury.

Wicomico continues to trail the rest of Maryland in its vaccination rate performance. Though many people are behaving as if the pandemic is over, new variants of Coronavirus are spreading in sections of the nation where vaccine compliance has been low.

Clinics will be held on the following dates:

  •       July 22 -- 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  •       July 26 -- 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
  •       July 28 -- 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
  •       July 30 -- 9 a.m. to 11a.m.

To register for a Covid-19 vaccine appointment, email Wicomico.covidvax@maryland.gov or visit our website wicomicohealth.org.

For those with limited computer access or who need assistance, please call 410-912-6889 until June 30, starting July 1 please call 410-341-4600 to do an over-the-phone registration.
