GEORGETOWN — Two Georgetown men have been charged in connection with a Monday home invasion, Georgetown police spokesman Detective Joey Melvin said.

Police said the alleged incident occurred at approximately 3:09 p.m. at a residence on Tranquility Lane. It left a man with non-life-threatening injuries to the head, they added.

Three males, all wearing face coverings and one in possession of a handgun, entered the residence, police said. They fled on foot after an alleged assault, according to authorities.

Police said Ryan Crater, 27, and Samuel Senecharles, 22, were identified as persons of interest and taken into custody Tuesday.

Both men were charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, first-degree home invasion, second-degree assault, aggravated menacing, wearing a disguise during the commission of a felony, second-degree conspiracy and offensive touching.

Following arraignment through a Justice of the Peace Court, the men were committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown — Mr. Crater on a $210,000 secured bail and Mr. Senecharles on a $165,700 secured bond.

Police said the investigation is continuing and asked anyone with information to call Detective Diaz at 856-6613 or contact Delaware Crime Stoppers at (800) TIP-3333 or via its website.
