Posted

DOVER - The Delaware Department of Transportation will host two Interactive Planning Sessions to collaboratively consider future land use opportunities for the borrow pits located at 3700 Bay Road, a news release said.

These cumulative planning sessions will occur on Sept. 27, and Oct. 4 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the Delaware Room, DelDOT Administrative Building at 800 S Bay Road.

The public can participate in this multi-session community engagement event to explore future land use opportunities for the borrow pits located west of Dover Air Force Base.

The Sept. 27 session will focus on gathering ideas through a series of small group exercises. This input will be used to develop alternative design concepts to be presented and vetted at the Oct. 4 session. Public participation is important to us and to the success of this study.

For further information on the project and these sessions, visit the project website at deldot.gov/projects, call Humaira Y. Nabeela at 302-760-2174 or e-mail Humaira.nabeela@delaware.gov.

These planning sessions are accessible to persons having disabilities. Persons who require auxiliary aids and services such as qualified interpreters are requested to contact DelDOT by phone, email or mail one week in advance.

For further information contact DelDOT Community Relations: dotpublic@delaware.gov or by calling 1-800-652-5600 (in Delaware) or write to P.O. Box 778 Dover, DE 19903
