Two arrests made in Kent County drug investigation

DOVER — Two Kent County men were arrested Tuesday on drug charges.

Delaware State Police said Eljere M. Ingram, 41, of Dover, and Donald W. Demby, 44, of Magnolia, were taken into custody at a residence in the 200 block of President Drive as a search warrant was executed. Approximately 330.15 grams of marijuana, approximately 2.43 grams of heroin, approximately 3.61 grams of crystal methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, and approximately $711 in suspected drug proceeds were located, according to authorities.

Police said Mr. Demby was found in possession of 149 MDMA pills, approximately 13.89 grams of cocaine, approximately 64.39 grams of marijuana, drug paraphernalia, and $482 in suspected drug proceeds.

Mr. Ingram and Mr. Demby were taken into custody without incident and transported to Delaware State Police Troop 3. The 40-year-old Magnolia man was not charged with any crimes.

The men were charged with multiple felony-level possession of controlled substance-related counts, along with possession of drug paraphernalia counts. Mr. Demby was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $46,000 cash bond, and Mr. Ingram was held on a $16,700 cash bond.
