Two arrested on firearm, drug charges in Dover

DOVER — A 41-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy were arrested on firearm and drug charges following a search warrant at a Dover Inn room Tuesday, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.

Officers executed the warrant at approximately 3 p.m., as the result of a drug investigation. Police said 1,200 bags of heroin (8.62 grams), 23.7 grams of crack cocaine, 10 grams of cocaine, $1,745 in cash (suspected drug proceeds) and a .40-caliber handgun were located.
Sgt. Hoffman said the juvenile was also found in possession of a .45-caliber handgun during the search.

Timothy Mcleish and the teen were arrested without incident.

Mr. Mcleish was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of heroin, possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of cocaine/crack cocaine (two counts), possession of a firearm/ammunition by a person prohibited (three counts), possession of drug paraphernalia, possession with intent to deliver cocaine/crack cocaine (two counts) and second-degree conspiracy. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on a $198,500 cash bond.

The juvenile was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited (two counts), possession with intent to deliver and carrying a concealed weapon. He was committed to a juvenile detention center on a $28,000 cash bond.
