Trespassing investigation leaves two charged in Lewes

LEWES - Amber Kellner, 31, of Lewes, and James Fisher of Georgetown, 30, of Georgetown, were arrested on drug, theft, and other charges following a trespassing investigation Sunday morning.

Delaware State Police spokesman Senior Cpl. Leonard DeMalto said that at approximately 11:28 a.m., troopers responded to a residence on the 33000 block of Lotus Lane regarding a report of persons living inside of the home without the homeowner’s permission.

Arriving troopers contacted Ms. Kellner and Mr. Fisher, along with males ages 7, 10, and 11. Troopers also observed narcotics, drug paraphernalia, and stolen goods inside of the residence.

Ms. Kellner and Mr. Fisher were then taken into custody at the scene without incident.

A search of the property led to the recovery of approximately 3.69 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, approximately 0.623 grams of suspected heroin, approximately 1.84 grams of marijuana, approximately 43.65 grams of methamphetamine, approximately 79 prescription pills, various articles of drug paraphernalia, a stolen Wolf scooter, and other stolen items, police said.

The three juveniles were turned over to their legal guardian without incident.

Kellner and Fisher were each charged with possession offenses including with intent to deliver a controlled substance in Tier 2 and 3 quantity, with intent to deliver a controlled substance, controlled substance, and drug paraphernalia (two counts), theft $1,500 or greater (two counts), second-degree conspiracy, endangering the welfare of a child (three counts).
Ms. Kellner was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to

Sussex Correctional Institution on $89,600 cash bond.
Mr. Fisher was arraigned by JP Court 3 and committed to SCI on $89,600 cash bond.
