GEORGETOWN — TidalHealth is canceling Saturday’s scheduled Georgetown drive-thru flu clinic at Delaware Technical Community College Owens Campus due to inclement weather predicted as a result of Hurricane Ian.

The health system said the event was canceled “out of an abundance of caution.

The event will not be rescheduled. TidalHealth will hold two additional clinics on Friday, Oct. 7 in Salisbury, Md. and Saturday, Oct. 15 in Crisfield, Md.

High dose flu shots fr seniors will not be offered at those two events. A full list of flu shot locations and more information on clinics is available at tidalhealth.org/flu.

TidalHealth said flu shots are encouraged for anyone over the age of 6 months, but especially for people over the age of 65, people with heart or lung disorders, at high-risk for diseases or diabetes.
