Three indicted on attempted murder charge

LAUREL - Three males were indicted on a first-degree murder charges regarding an alleged incident at Holly Brook Apartments on May 9, Laurel police spokesman Lt. Tyler Bryan said.

Lt. Bryan said the incident involved an alleged assault of a juvenile. Police reported at the time that a juvenile male sustained numerous gunshot wounds by an unknown suspect.

Laurel residents Damon T. Hardy and Antione Hudson, both 19, and a 17-year-old male were additionally charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, first-degree reckless endangering, and first-degree conspiracy to commit murder.

Following their indictments, a joint operation among Laurel, Seaford and Delaware State Police brought the three males into custody.

Police said a search of Mr. Hudson’s residence yielded over 180 bags of heroin and a 9mm handgun. The search of the juvenile’s residence yielded 10 ounces of marijuana packaged for sale, police said.

All three males were issued $100,000 cash bonds. Mr. Hardy and Mr. Hudson were then held at Sussex Correctional Institution, while the juvenile was taken to Stevenson House Detention Center.
