SALISBURY — The Land Group (TLG) is pleased to announce the addition of Lara Jennings to its team. Lara joins TLG with a background in wildlife conservation and a passion for helping landowners manage their properties.
Jennings brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her new role as Land Advisor and Conservation Specialist. She previously worked for Delaware’s Department of Natural Resources and Environmental Control (DNREC), and her professional career with the State centered around water quality and watershed health, addressing non-point source pollution and spearheading water quality improvement projects. She obtained her Nutrient Management Consultant certification through the Delaware Department of Agriculture, showcasing her commitment to excellence in her field.
Lara has also been involved in various construction projects, including rain gardens, wetland restoration, and indoor interpretive exhibits. Her ability to coordinate efforts between state, federal and non-profit partners has been instrumental in securing funding and completing projects.
“Coordinating conservation services at The Land Group is a crucial new position,” said Principal Ben Alder. “Lara’s expertise can provide guidance and support to landowners as they navigate the myriad options offered by the State and Federal government.”
Conservation programs are available to improve land for sustainable farming, enhance soil health and water quality, offset farming expenses, increase wildlife habitat, preserve land legacies for future generations, and maintain open spaces. There are many different options available, each tailored to the specific goals of the landowner and existing land conditions.
Lara resides with her husband and two children in Kent County, Delaware on their small farm growing beef cattle, chickens, and cut flowers. Contact her by calling 484-614-7417 or emailing lara@thelandgroup.us.
