Sussex Parkinson’s Support Group to participate in Thankful Thursday

Posted

MILTON — The Parkinson’s Education and Support Group of Sussex County is pleased to again participate in Thankful Thursday at Hudson Fields.

Revelation Craft Brewery and Hudson Fields have partnered to provide local nonprofits with an outdoor venue to raise funds for their programs. For most nonprofits it has been difficult to conduct fundraising events over the past two years and Thankful Thursday has provided an alternative to other fundraising events that had to be canceled or postponed.

On July 21, from 5 to 8 p.m., Thankful Thursday with the Parkinson’s Education and Support Group of Sussex County will be an evening filled with food, games, music and fun.

Attendees can grab a bite to eat from the Tipsy Flamingo or Fat Vinny’s food trucks while listening to the music of Scott DiNolfi. Revelation Craft Brewery will have beer as well as water and sodas available for purchase. Pets are welcome, provided they are on a leash.

The support group will have a number of unique baskets to raffle off that evening. Additionally, several local organizations will be present to provide information on the services they provide to community residents. This family-friendly event is free to the public; however, the support group will be accepting donations. All money raised at Thankful Thursday will be used to continue the group’s educational and exercise programs.

The Parkinson’s Education and Support Group of Sussex County is an IRS-recognized 501(c)(3) organization incorporated in Delaware. The group provides educational seminars, a variety of exercise classes and several support group settings where members share ideas and seek solutions to issues they may be facing.
