Suspect sought in attempted robbery

DOVER — A suspect was sought after an attempted robbery at a Royal Farms convenience store early Tuesday, Dover police said.
At approximately 12:14 a.m., police said, a suspect entered the store at 295 S. DuPont Highway and approached the cashier. The suspect acted as if he had a handgun and demanded money from the register. After the cashier refused, the suspect fled on foot in a southbound direction, police said.
Police ask anyone with information to call 736-7111. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or online at delaware.crimestoppersweb.com. A cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.
