CAMBRIDGE - The Annual Members’ Show and Sale is the featured exhibit for June at the Dorchester Center for the Arts. The show features work by DCA members in a variety of media. All entries are original works of the exhibiting artist. Included in this year’s show are two-dimensional works in oil, watercolor and acrylic, as well as photography and digital arts. Three-dimensional work includes hand knitting and felting, basket weaving, rug hooking, stained glass, jewelry and upcycled furniture.

Awards were presented for Best in Show, Best Depiction of Dorchester County, Most Creative, and People’s Choice.

Best in Show went to Beebe Winterbottom, for her oil painting entitled “Dividing Creek.” The award for Best Depiction of Dorchester County went to Graham Slaughter for his digital photography titled “Swan.”

Windy Karpavage won most creative for her hand-knit and felted bumble bee inspired bag, “Bee Happy.” The People’s Choice Award went to Harlan Passwaters for his oil painting titled “Oops.”

In the Front Gallery, the exhibition of works by patients at the Eastern Shore Hospital Center continues. “What is Art Therapy? Eastern Shore Hospital Center Patient Art - through the Ages” features paintings as well as works in clay.

The exhibit was organized by the Hospital Center Auxiliary, which is a totally volunteer nonprofit organization whose sole purpose is to provide direct benefit to the residents of the center.

Both exhibits run through Saturday, June 25. The galleries are open Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 11 a.m.-5 p.m., and Thursday, noon-8 p.m.
