Speak Up: Secret Service-involved crash, fire causes damage to Vineyards apartments in Lewes

A building in the Mi-Place at Vineyards apartment complex in Lewes was damaged July 30 after a traffic collision involving multiple vehicles, one of which was a Secret Service SUV.

  • Was it on a hill? It could have been too “slopey” for the Secret Service. — Kellie O’Neill Michaud
  • Who cares about the Secret Service? In my opinion, the big story here is the fact that those buildings were built with sprinkler systems and kept the fire to the outside of the building. Just incredible. Tell your legislature to pass residential sprinkler codes. — Todd Reilly
