Posted

  • What a great story! If there is anyone reading this who is interested in finding out the history of your church or home, the Kent County recorder of deeds has a fact sheet and a workbook to help you. Please contact me at eugenia.thornton@kentcountyde.gov to request it. It’s interactive, so it’s best to obtain it by email, so you can use all the hyperlinks. You can begin your search right now by logging onto uslandrecords.com. Cemeteries can be searched by their name by putting “CE-” in front of the name. You can do this from home or come to our office at 555 S. Bay Road and use one of our public computers. You can also look at the historical books we maintain for public research. Congratulations to this intrepid group for bringing history to life for all to enjoy. — Eugenia Thornton-Kent County Recorder of Deeds
