Following a “number of incidents in and outside” of Irish Mike’s Olde Towne Pub, the bar has been indefinitely closed. Mark Hoffman said.

  • It’s all about the clientele. I have had many a drink in there years ago, and the owners did not put up with all the stuff going on now. It’s been 20 years since. Go there and the clientele don’t care, and neither do the owners. Nothing but a dive bar now. — Bob Quillen
  • Exactly. We’ve had some great times there back in the day; however, our Dover has changed terribly. Such crap was never tolerated back in the day. — Debbie Virdin
  • It’s the same owner as it’s always been. — Johnny Cooper
  • Paul and Buster Kertiles and their family owned it till this bunch bought it. — Bob Quillen
  • Women could go in the former Old Town Pub, and Paul and Buster made you feel safe. No fights. It was a peaceful place then. — Susan Hurley
  • They have owned it for over 25 years. I mean, it’s even named after Mr. Howard’s father. — Johnny Cooper
  • So they closed down a bar for stuff that happens outside the bar? — Nelson Warren
  • Didn’t pay off the right people. — Jimmy Coulbourne
  • Shootings and stabbings in Dover are not unusual. — Mark Breckwoldt
  • Thirty-five incidents. I’ve had two since I’ve opened. — Wells Jerry
