DOVER — A series of shootings in the city continued Tuesday with two incidents, including one that injured a 17-year-old male.

There have been six similar matters in the area since April 26, according to reports from Dover police and the Delaware State Police.

The latest, involving the juvenile victim, came at 2:33 a.m. Tuesday in the 100 block of Spruance Road, city police said. The youth was shot in the upper body.

No other injuries were reported, but a vehicle was struck by gunfire.

Also Tuesday, at 1:17 a.m., police responded to a shots-fired complaint that left two homes and a vehicle damaged at South Queen and West Reed streets.

Both residences were occupied at the time, but authorities said there were no injuries.

Earlier shootings included:

• On Sunday, two vehicles were damaged by gunfire on Village Drive at 8:05 p.m., Dover police said. No injuries resulted.
• On Saturday, a 19-year-old man was shot once in the leg, while leaving a party in the 1500 block of South Governors Avenue around 11:43 p.m. His injuries were non-life-threatening, Delaware State Police said. Several vehicles were also struck by rounds, along with the nearby Touchdown bar and Valero gas station.
• On Thursday, Lenell Abbott, 43, of Dover, was arrested after accidentally firing a handgun through his kitchen window, state troopers said. An investigation determined that the bullet came through the wall of a neighbor’s bedroom, which was occupied by a 13-year-old boy. Abbott was charged with firearm and drug counts, arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on $27,700 unsecured bond.
• On April 26 at 10:29 p.m., a 47-year-old Dover woman was shot in her lower body, while walking her dog on Schoolhouse Lane. Dover police said unknown individuals had been arguing, then the woman heard several gunshots and was wounded.
