SEAFORD — Two men were arrested following a shots fired incident Tuesday night, which police said resulted in a vehicle pursuit, apprehension, and seizure of drugs and money.

Seaford police said officers responded to Chandler Apartments at approximately 10:47 p.m. A vehicle with two masked occupants was seen leaving the area at a high speed, authorities said.

A vehicle pursuit ensued and the vehicle was stopped in a Walgreens parking lot in Bridgeville near the intersection of South Main Street and Sussex Highway. Police said Jaquan Darling, 23, of Seaford, and Samuel Senecharles, 23, of Georgetown, exited the vehicle and fled on foot before being apprehended after a brief search.

Delaware State Police and Trooper 2 assisted in the apprehensions, Seaford police spokesman Deputy Chief Michael Rapa said.

Mr. Darling possessed crack cocaine, cocaine, marijuana, ecstasy and $841 in United States currency, police said. Mr. Senecharles possessed cocaine, marijuana, bags of heroin, a digital scale, five cell phones and $482, according to authorities.

Mr. Darling was charged with possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance Tier 2, possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance (three counts), disregarding a police officer signal, second-degree conspiracy, resisting arrest and various traffic charges. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $95,000 cash bond.

He was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to the custody of the Delaware Department of Correction on a $60,600 secured bond.

Both men were sought on unrelated previous charges, police said.

An examination of the vehicle revealed at least one round had struck the rear trunk and window of the vehicle, police said.

An examination of the original crime scene revealed at least one round had struck the exterior of an apartment complex, police said.

The bullet entered an apartment through an exterior wall and traveled through a bedroom where a child was sleeping, police said. No injuries were reported.
