Selbyville municipal election Saturday

SELBYVILLE — Registered voters in the town go to the polls Saturday in a municipal election that has four candidates seeking two Town Council positions.

Council candidates include challengers Carol R. Cary and William A. Thompson and incumbents G. Frank Smith III and Clarence W. Tingle Jr.

Longtime Selbyville Mayor Clifton C. Murray is unopposed in his reelection bid.
Mayor Murray, Councilman Smith and Councilman Tingle have all served on the town’s governing body since the late 1980s. Mayor Murray has led the town in his position since March 1993.

Council and mayoral terms in Selbyville are two years.

Polls at Selbyville Town Hall on West Church Street will be open Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
