Seaford man arrested on manslaughter charge

SEAFORD - Arthur Perdue, 53, of Seaford, was arrested manslaughter and other charges following a fatal motor vehicle collision investigation that began in January.

Delaware State Police said a motor vehicle collision occurred at the intersection of Atlanta Road and Brighton Drive on Jan. 6. A 14-year-old male and 6-year-old male died from injuries.

Mr. Perdue was identified as the driver, police said.

Besides two counts of manslaughter, Mr. Perdue was also charged with first-degree vehicular assault and third offense driving under the influence, among other charges. He was taken into custody without incident and then arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2, and then committed to Howard R. Young Correctional Institution on $65,203 cash bond.
