RISE Delaware to hold second rally against state's move to Medicare Advantage

DOVER—A second rally to oppose the state’s move to a Medicare Advantage Plan will be held on Oct. 12 at Legislative Hall.

The rally is set to begin at 12 p.m. Attendees are encouraged to wear blue and to bring signs to express their opposition to the move.

The event is being organized by Retirees Investing in Social Equity Delaware, or RISE Delaware; a group formed to assist state retirees in their fight against the change in coverage. The organization has filed a lawsuit to stop the implementation of Highmark Delaware’s Medicare Advantage plan, which would be pensioners’ only option to keep their health care benefits.

RISE Delaware has invited every sitting legislator in the Delaware General Assembly to attend the event.
