WASHINGTON — The Democratic Clean Energy Package, also known as the CLEAN Future Act of 2021, will include key provisions led by Rep. Lisa Blunt Rochester, D-Del.
“As we rebuild our economy in the wake of COVID, one of our priorities must be to create a more sustainable and cleaner future,” she said in a press release.
The act includes five of the congresswoman’s provisions.
One is the Public Health Air Quality Act, which would require the Environmental Protection Agency to monitor for toxic air pollutants at some factories.
Another is the Climate Action Planning for Ports Act, which would create a competitive grant program at the EPA to incentivize ports to create climate action plans.
