Question of the Day: Regular surf fishing tag? Or off-peak?

Here is the Question of the Day:

Delaware’s Great Outdoors columnist Rich King recently wrote about why he chooses to surf fish on Delaware beaches using an off-peak tag instead of a regular tag. “Park access yearly is $35 … so for an additional $35 I’m driving the beach. … I’d pay more for better fishing but paying less for more is winning.” What’s your experience with regular/off-peak surf fishing?
