Property reassessment data to be collected in Dover

Posted

DOVER — Reassessment data collectors will start obtaining property information in the city Friday.

It is anticipated that this process will take eight to 10 weeks. Residents are asked to contact Tyler Technologies at 302-744-9565 or kentcountyde@tylertech.com with any questions.

Data collectors are not required to enter properties. They will only ask questions at the door and measure exteriors. If no one is home, the collector will complete an exterior inspection, including measurements, and will estimate the interior using similar properties and/or existing data.

Due to security protocols, no assessment paperwork will be left at the property; however, a data-verification document will be mailed to the building’s owner.

Inspections will occur during normal business hours, Mondays through Fridays. Saturday inspections may occur as needed.

Collectors can be identified by yellow Tyler vests and Kent County-issued photo IDs. They can also be identified in the reassessment section of the Kent County Levy Court website.
