Indian River (2-1) at St. Elizabeth (4-0), 6 p.m.

IR is off to a good start in Class 1A but resurgent St. E’s has won its four games by a combined 181-18.

Woodbridge (4-0) at Laurel (4-0)

Raiders and Bulldogs aren’t in the same Class right now but this one still figures to be a tough battle.

Wilmington Charter (2-1) at Polytech (1-3)

Panthers would love a Homecoming victory against a Charter team that has flourished in Class 1A.

Early College (0-2, 0-3) at Seaford (1-1, 2-1)

After a tough loss to IR last week, the Blue Jays have an opportunity to get back on track tonight.

Friday’s games

Dickinson (1-2) at First State Military (1-3), 4 p.m.

First State Military wouldn’t mind picking up its second straight win as it celebrates Homecoming.

Delmar (1-2) at Cape Henlopen (0-4)

Both Henlopen Conference squads have found victories difficult to come by so far this season.

Dover (4-1) at Appoquinimink (1-3)

Senators are on a four-game winning streak but know they have some tougher games ahead of them.

Salesianum (3-1) at Caesar Rodney (0-5)

It’s Caesar Rodney’s Homecoming night but the new-look Sals are expected to be the ones celebrating.

Milford (3-1) at Sussex Central (2-2)

The Bucs get the chance to prove they can still compete against one of the state’s bigger schools.

Brandywine (0-3) at Sussex Tech (2-3)

The Ravens want to build on the momentum from last Friday when they knocked off Lake Forest.

Saturday’s games

Smyrna (3-2) at St. Georges (3-1), noon

The Eagles look to assert themselves as the state’s Class 3A pecking order continues to work itself out.

Newark (2-2) at Lake Forest (3-1), noon

The Spartans need to bounce back from their first loss of the year as they celebrate their Homecoming.

College

Delaware (2-0, 3-1) at Rhode Island (2-0, 4-0), 1 p.m.

The Blue Hens handled URI in the spring but winning the rematch should be much more difficult.

Va. Univ. of Lynchburg (0-5) at Delaware State (2-3), 2 p.m.

The Hornets are looking to get back to .500 against a VUL program that is always difficult to figure out.
