Philadelphia man charged after Dover search warrant

DOVER — A 36-year-old Philadelphia man was charged with drug offenses following a search warrant execution at the Dover Inn, 428 N. DuPont Highway, on Thursday afternoon, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.

Malik Sutton was arrested without incident, police said. A loaded 9 mm handgun was found in the room, along with 30.1 grams of fentanyl, 63.2 grams of crack cocaine, 57.1 grams of PCP and 114.9 grams of marijuana, according to authorities. Also located was $7,904 in cash, police said.

Mr. Sutton was charged with possession of a firearm during commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number, possession with intent to deliver fentanyl, crack cocaine, PCP and marijuana (separate counts) and possession of crack cocaine, PCP and drug paraphernalia.

He was released after posting a $44,000 secured bond, police said.
