Posted

Paul L. Ridenour's life was tragically and abruptly concluded on June 16, 2025, leaving a profound absence in the hearts of those who knew him. Born in the charming town of Dover, Delaware, in 1979 to the late Pauline Outten Starkey and the late Ernest Lowell Ridenour, Paul epitomized resilience and adaptability, characteristics that defined both his personal and professional life.
A steadfast pillar of support, Paul played an instrumental role in managing the Lake Forest Estate mobile homes alongside his brother, Gregg B. Lewis, in Felton, Delaware. His diverse talents shone brightly as a freelance contractor, where he embraced each project with the enthusiasm of a true jack of all trades, leaving a mark of quality wherever he went.
With an adventurous spirit, Paul found joy in the exhilarating rush of riding motorcycles. Each journey was more than just a ride; it was a liberating dance with the wind, a chance to indulge in life's thrills and spontaneity. He held a special place in his heart for family gatherings in Florida, where time spent with his cousin's sparked laughter and created cherished memories. Passion flowed through his veins, especially as a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, with each game becoming a celebration of camaraderie and spirit.
Paul's contagious confidence and sharp sense of humor possessed the remarkable power to brighten any space he entered, effortlessly lifting the spirits of those around him. His ability to connect with others made him a cherished friend and a beloved confidant.
Paul is preceded in death by his brothers Dale and Jeff Ridenour.
He leaves behind his treasured daughter, Makenzie Rose Ridenour, who meant the world to him—his guiding star and unwavering source of strength. He is also survived by his brothers, Denny, Mike, Mark and Gregg, and Gregg’s fiancé, Tina Sayers, both of whom reside in Felton, Delaware.
A heartfelt celebration of Paul’s life will take place at Traders Funeral Home in Dover, Delaware, Thursday June 26 beginning with a viewing at 11 AM, followed by a meaningful service at 1 PM. Family and friends will gather afterward at Irish Mike’s Old Town  Pub in downtown Dover, coming together in a spirit of love and remembrance to honor a life that was lived to the fullest.
