It is with deep sadness that the family of Patricia Catherine Latsko announces her passing. She passed away Saturday, March 29, 2025 at Kent General Hospital surrounded by family. She was born on January 4, 1938 in Mather, PA to the late Catherine and Mike “Pap” Paluda Jr., the oldest of two children. After graduation from Jefferson Morgan High School in 1955, Mrs. Latsko attended Waynesburg College for 1 year majoring in accounting. From there she moved to Pittsburgh to work and stayed with her Aunt Margaret.
Mrs. Latsko was married to Richard Latsko from Bobtown, PA., on October 12, 1957. They had a grand Croatian wedding at the Croation Club in Mather. After the wedding they moved to Sheffield Lake, Ohio, where she lived until moving to Dover, DE in 1965.
Mrs. Latsko busied herself with her work and family. When she first moved to Dover, she worked part-time at the Dover Federal Credit Union until her youngest child was in school full-time. Then she began working full-time for the Caesar Rodney School District as a secretary until her retirement on January 1, 2000. She enjoyed the bridge club she belonged to and participating in church activities at Holy Cross. She enjoyed many crafts: knitting, crocheting and embroidery. She was an avid animal lover and the family had many pets throughout the years.
She is survived by her children, Jeanne R. of Magnolia, DE; Richard, Jr. of Phoenix, AZ; Angela L. of Dover, DE; her brother, Michael Paluda of Marquette, MI and the family dog, Sasha, the Siberian Husky.
Friends may call at the Funeral Home of Michael J Ambruso on Friday, April 4th between 9:30 and 10:30 am. A Mass of Christian burial will follow at 11:00 AM at The Church of the Holy Cross, 631 S. State St., Dover, DE.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the S.P.C.A/First State Animal Center at 32 Shelter Circle, Camden, DE 19934.
