Why do you want to serve as Kent County Sheriff?

I have worked in law enforcement for 28 years, serving as Chief of Police for 13 of those years, and am well versed in conflict resolution to help resolve a multitude of issues that affect individuals from all walks of life.  I have been serving citizens my entire career in municipal leadership, and wish to continue my dedication to service by being elected as Sheriff of Kent County.  I believe that the citizens of Kent County are ready for new leadership and a new vision for the Sheriff’s Office.

How can the office best serve the community?

As Sheriff, I will ensure that the office is run with honesty, transparency, and integrity.  I believe in hard work and common-sense resolutions, and the treatment of all citizens with respect, compassion, and dignity.

Are there any initiatives or changes you would bring to the office?

As Sheriff, I will bring 30+ years of municipal leadership experience to the office, helping to build trust and teamwork with the employees and the citizens of the county.  I will sit down with the team to assess their needs to better the office, in order to best serve the citizens of Kent County.  My ultimate goal is to build trust and teamwork with the staff and citizens of Kent County, and together make a difference!
