Nonprofits invited to Dover meetings about ARPA grants

Posted

DOVER — The city will hold meetings for nonprofit organizations regarding eligibility requirements and proposal submissions for American Rescue Plan Act grants.

The meetings are at 2 and 6 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Dover Public Library, 35 Loockerman Plaza.

Capacity is limited to 25 attendees. Masks will be required.

The meetings also will be held virtually, with a link being provided at a later date.

Those planning to attend in person must register by Dec. 1. Email Tracey Harvey at tharvey@dover.de.us to register.

The minimum eligibility requirements for a nonprofit to apply for a grant are:

  • Applications will only be accepted for projects responding to COVID-19’s negative economic impact in the community.
  • The applicant must be an established nonprofit for at least one year and provide copies of tax returns.
  • Nonprofits will be required to follow the purchasing policy and procedures for the city.

The interim final rule includes eligible uses to support affordable housing and stronger neighborhoods in disproportionately impacted communities.

A list of eligible uses can be found in the interim final rule here.
