DOVER — The Delaware Division of Public Health (DPH) released more declining COVID-19 data on Sunday afternoon, revealing that the state added 51 new cases of the coronavirus to its ledger and reported no deaths.
There has been one death reported due to COVID-19-related causes over the past week. Since the pandemic began, there have been 1,661 deaths attributed to the coronavirus.
Hospitalizations for COVID-19 went up by two to a total of 60 individuals hospitalized, but Kent County decreased by one patient to three while Sussex County discharged two patients and had 11 in the hospital.
Among the 51 new cases of COVID-19, 26 were from Sussex County and five from Kent County. New Castle County added 20 new cases.
A total of 426,418 individuals have been fully vaccinated from the coronavirus, which is 44% of the state’s population.
