Nineteenth annual 9/11 blood drive to take place at Dover Motor Speedway
By DOVER—The 19th Annual 9/11 Blood Drive is set to take place once again at Dover Motor Speedway on Wednesday, Sept. 11, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
This year, for the second time ever, donators will get the opportunity to drive the Monster Mile, Dover’s infamous NASCAR track. Guests will need to sign a waiver to allow their vehicle onto the track.
The Blood Bank of Delmarva, who is hosting the event along with the Dover Motor Speedway, encourages pre-registration at https://donate.bbd.org/donor/schedules/drive_schedule/10256.
The blood bank asks that guests use the Leipsic Rd. Entrance to go to the event. They will enter near the start/finish line and donate at the NASCAR Cup Series garage between turns one and two.
