DOVER AIR FORCE BASE — Delaware’s only Air Force Reserve Command unit has a new leader.
Col. Douglas Stouffer assumed command of the 512th Airlift Wing in a ceremony Monday morning. Col. Stouffer has more than 6,000 flight hours as a command pilot, including over 400 combat hours.
He previously led the 927th Air Refueling Wing, based at MacDill Air Force Base in Florida.
Col. Stouffer is taking control of 1,650 Reserve airmen that support AFRC’s and Air Mobility Command’s worldwide airlift mission, operating the C-5M Super Galaxy and C-17 Globemaster III aircraft.
