Nancy L. Bradley, 79

Posted

Nancy L. Bradley of Harrington, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 10, 2025. Nancy was born in Milford, DE to the late Mary and Norman Morgan Sr.
Nancy worked various jobs over the years including at the Aetna Shirt Factory, ILC of Frederica, where she made the gloves for Outer Space, and at L.D. Caulk of Milford, where she retired as Supervisor. In her younger days, she was a waitress at Peoples of Harrington, and also at the Harrington Moose and the American Legion where she also bartended.
Nancy had many interests in her life which included tending to her flower garden, dancing at the Harrington Moose Lodge and the Elks Lodge, and socializing with family and friends at her many cook outs and BBQs. She also enjoyed watching NASCAR and following her favorite driver Harry Gant, whom she may have had a slight crush on. Her most favorite thing in the world was being a grandmother. After she retired, she devoted her life full time to everything that was related to her grandchildren, and was excited to take them all to Disney. They were truly her joy and her life.
Nancy will be remembered for her sense of humor and for always having a smile on her face; when she saw you, she always had that smile and was genuinely glad to see you. She loved to talk about old times and reminisce. She could be vocal about her feelings and told you like it was, but was always done with love and humor. She was truly the pillar in her family, and loved them with all her heart, and will be sadly missed.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her siblings, Norman Jr., Benjamin, and Rodney Morgan, Joyce Schweitzer, and Agnes Rice.
She is survived by her loving husband, Russell Bradley Jr.; daughters, Rebecca Robbins, Dana (Norman) Barlow, stepchildren, Sharon (Mike) Purnell, Sheila (Ronnie) Sharp, Donald Stratman; grandchildren, Michael Robbins, Brooke (Russell) Dortch, Maura Robbins, Rylee Barlow, Delayna Barlow; great grandchildren, Kaydance Robbins, Lucy Case, Rustyn Dortch; lifelong friends, Harry and Lois Todd; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will take place on Monday, May 19, 2025, at 5 PM, with a visitation starting at 4 PM, at the Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington.
