Months-long drug dealing investigation brings arrest

SMYRNA - A 42-year-old Smyrna man was arrested in the culmination of a several months long investigation into alleged drug dealing, Smyrna police spokesman Lt. Brian Donner said.

According to Lt. Donner, a search and seizure warrant was obtained for a property in the 600 block of Lexington Avenue, where Ralph Rhoades was taken into custody without incident.

Police said two juveniles were also found in the residence, and they were released to guardians.

According to police, the seach located 28.6 grams of methamphetamine, 82.6 grams of powder cocaine, 228 grams of marijuana, 35 Dextroamphetamine pills, three MDMA doses, over $2,400 in currency of suspected drug proceeds, and two firearms.

Mr. Rhoades was presented to Justice of the Peace Court 2 and charged with possession of firearm during commission of felony, possession with intent to deliver narcotics (four counts), possession of controlled substance in Tier 3 quantity, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited (two counts), maintaining a drug property and endangering the welfare of a child.

Mr. Rhoades was committed to the Department of Corrections in lieu of $302,000.
