DOVER — As COVID-19-related statistics released by the state Tuesday remained largely unchanged, opportunities for vaccinations via mobile units continue to be available.

Two vaccination sites will be offered in Sussex County on Thursday — from 10 a.m. to noon at Laurel Junction and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Woodbridge Early Childhood Education Center in Greenwood.

Wednesday in Wilmington, vaccinations will be provided from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m. at the Adams Four Shopping Center. Vaccinations will be also be available from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Friday at the Joseph R. Biden Jr. Aquatic Center in Wilmington.

The Delaware Division of Public Health in partnership with the Delaware National Guard launched mobile units to offer COVID-19 vaccines in underserved communities. Medically trained DNG staff are offering the Pfizer vaccine (for ages 12 and older) and the Johnson & Johnson vaccine (for persons 18 and older).

These mobile units are visiting communities with low vaccination rates in an effort to eliminate potential barriers to access, DPH said. The mobile units utilize trailers to transport the vaccine and provide vaccinations.

Dates may be rescheduled if there is inclement weather.
