MILLSBORO — Delaware State Police arrested a Millsboro woman after an internal theft investigation determined over $5,000 was stolen from the Uncle Willies at 28194 DuPont Blvd.

Police responded to Uncle Willies on Friday at 2:27 p.m. for an internal theft report. The investigation determined that 29-year-old Danielle Serman of Millsboro was an employee of Uncle Willies. Since December 2020, Ms. Serman had been voiding or refunding purchases and removing cash from the register, according to Delaware State Police. Approximately $5,000 had been stolen from the business since December, police said.

Ms. Serman was taken into custody without incident and transported to Troop 4, where she was charged with theft of $1500 or greater, a felony.

She was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court #3 and released on her own recognizance.
