MILLSBORO — A 37-year-old Millsboro man was arrested on fourth-offense DUI and other felony charges after his vehicle crashed in a convenience store’s parking lot Sunday, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Heather Pepper said.
Troopers arrived at the Liberty gas station at 31507 Oak Orchard Road at approximately 4:20 p.m. and found a Chevrolet Silverado driven by Justin M. Black that had struck a pole. Mr. Black showed signs of impairment, Cpl. Pepper said.
Emergency medical services arrived, and Mr. Black refused treatment. A DUI investigation then ensued.
A vehicle search located approximately 1.21 grams (171 bags) of heroin, 25 ecstasy pills, approximately 39.39 grams of methamphetamine, five alprazolam pills, 11 clonazepam pills, $6,375 in suspected drug proceeds and drug paraphernalia.
Mr. Black was charged with multiple controlled-substances offenses and five counts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 3 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution, Georgetown, on a $72,000 cash bond.
