What uniquely qualifies you for this office?

I am a lifelong Delawarean and have worked and am working in the public school system. I have a unique perspective on our educational system and have ideas on how to fix it. Also, I have volunteered in many capacities and have worked with the public all my life. I know how to connect with people (mostly by listening to them), and my managerial experience allows me to incorporate great ideas from all spectrums of the citizenry.

What are the top three issues for this office in your view?

Our educational system. Our devoted support of our military, police, firemen and EMTs. Our growing homeless (and resultant crime). Our tax-and-spend mentality that pervades Dover.

What would be your top priority if elected?

I would repair our lopsided spending per student with the scholastic scores. Currently, we spend in the top 10% in the country but score in the bottom 15%.

If you could change one state policy or law, what would it be?

I would work to reverse the egregious and unconstitutional laws that were passed late last session (i.e., House Bill 450, Senate Bill 6 and Senate Bill 8).

What can Delaware do about its workforce issues?

We need to take a hard look at the taxes and regulations that plague our state. We are bleeding our workforce to other states due to these laws.

What, if any, gun laws would you change?

See question 4.

How would you protect or change abortion rights in the state?

I would fight against the ninth-month abortion bill and fight to limit abortion except under exceptional circumstances.

Do you support the State Employee Benefits Committee’s move to a Medicare Advantage plan for state retirees? Why?

I need to look further into this.
