Man suffers non-life-threatening injuries in Dover shooting

DOVER — A 23-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening injuries when shot Thursday, Dover police spokesman Sgt. Mark Hoffman said.

According to authorities, officers were called to South Kirkwood Street for a shots-fired report at 6:01 p.m., and shell casings were found. An occupied home was struck, as well.

As officers were at the scene, the victim arrived to Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus in Dover with a gunshot wound to his leg.

Police said an investigation is ongoing and asked anyone with information to call 736-7111. Callers may remain anonymous. Tips may also be submitted to law enforcement through Delaware Crime Stoppers at 800-TIP-3333 or here; a cash reward is possible for information leading to an arrest.
