Man shot in Cambridge, stable after surgery

CAMBRIDGE - On May 27 at approximately 5:40 p.m., Cambridge Police officers responded to the 500 block of Poplar Street in reference to a gunshot victim who had arrived there by car. Upon arrival, officers located the approximately 20-year-old male victim sitting in his car suffering from a gunshot wound to the body.

EMS took over care for the victim and he was subsequently flown to Shock Trauma where he underwent surgery and is stable.

Information gathered during the investigation and through information provided by the victim indicated that the shooting occurred in the area of south Pine Street. The victim drove to the area of Poplar Street, where he was found.

Cambridge Police are continuing their investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact detectives at 410-228-3333.
