MAGNOLIA — A wanted 44-year-old Magnolia man was located and charged with firearm offenses Wednesday, Delaware State Police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Heather Pepper said.

Denano J. Blair had allegedly taken a loaded handgun from inside a Joshua Drive residence and threatened to shoot a barking dog, police said. Prior to that, Mr. Blair had argued with a 20-year-old acquaintance about the dog barking, police said.

Police said Mr. Blair fled the residence before troopers arrived, and attempts to locate him were unsuccessful. With the public’s assistance, police said, Mr. Blair was located at a residence in Magnolia. He was taken into custody without incident.

Mr. Blair was charged with possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, aggravated menacing, and breach of release (two counts).

He was arraigned in Justice of the Peace Court 2 and released on a $24,500 unsecured bond.
