Lois Dill Dunn of Harrington, DE passed away at her home surrounded by her family on March 20, 2025. Born on April 24, 1942, to Courtland Dill and Cathryn “Cole” Dill, Lois spent her life in the area. After graduating from Felton High School in 1960, she continued her education and graduated from Salisbury University in 1964. That same year she married her high school sweetheart, James Dunn and spent 61 wonderful years with him at their family farm near Whiteleysburg. She taught 3rd grade at Felton/Lake Forest school.
Lois is preceded in death by her husband, James Dunn, as well as her parents and brother, Wayne Dill.
She is survived by her two children: son Russell Dunn (Marlene) of Harrington, DE, and daughter Lori Carpenter (Jerry) of Hockessin, DE. Lois leaves behind a legacy through her cherished granddaughters, Kendall and Kadyn Carpenter.
A visitation will take place on May 17, 2025, from 12 PM to 1 PM at Fleegle and Helfenbein Funeral Home in Greensboro, MD, followed by a service at 1 PM.
