Pennsylvania used a three-run second inning to take control before downing Naamans, 7-3, in the Little League baseball Mid-Atlantic regional finals on Friday afternoon.

The victory avenged a 5-4 loss to the Delaware state champions on Tuesday in the tournament being played in Bristol, Conn.

Naamans (2-1) was trying to become only the third Delaware team to reach the World Series in Williamsport, Pa.

After giving up a run in the top of the first inning, Naamans quickly tied it on a homerun from Luke Luzader in the bottom of the inning. But Pennsylvania came back with three runs in the top of the second and led the rest of the way.

Caleb Detrick went 4-for-4 with four RBI and two runs for Pennsylvania, which out-hit Naamans, 9-5. Peter Hudson had two hits for the Delaware squad.
