Lewes' Beebe Healthcare celebrates ‘Top Nurses’

LEWES — Beebe Healthcare is celebrating the seven nurses recognized by Delaware Today’s Excellence in Nursing Awards.

“Congratulations to the nurses for being recognized as a Top Nurse in Delaware Today’s Excellence in Nursing annual program,” said Loretta Ostroski, interim chief nursing officer and vice president of inpatient nursing and emergency services for Beebe. “This group is a prime example of the many excellent nurses at Beebe Healthcare. ... I would like to give a special thank-you to these Top Nurses for what you do each day to make Beebe Healthcare amazing.”

Karen Pickard, director of the Margaret H. Rollins School of Nursing, was awarded Top Nurse for the Clinical Educator area.

Joining her as honorees were:

  • Advancing & Leading the Profession — Bridget Buckaloo.
  • Ambulatory Care Nursing — April Comley.
  • Inpatient/Acute Care Nursing — Lara Kwetkauskie.
  • Informatics — Amy Linzey.
  • Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing — Shawna Mayles.
  • Advanced Practice — Denise Pecora.

“I am so thankful for the incredible work of these nurses every day at Beebe Healthcare,” said Dr. David A. Tam, president and CEO of Beebe. “To this distinguished group and all of the nurses at Beebe and the health care industry, thank you for your continued dedication to the people who live, work and visit Sussex County.”
