Letter to the Editor: Reader finds unemployment report confusing

I read the article about the Delaware unemployment rates, and, quite frankly, I am not understanding it at all (“Delaware jobless rate steady,” June 20).

Dover has the highest number of all? How is that possible, when every store, restaurant and gas station is begging for workers? Why is anybody in Delaware on unemployment?

Boxes are piled sky-high in the aisles at several stores because they don’t have workers to unpack them and stock the shelves.

Stop the unemployment payments and make these individuals get back to work. It’s more than time!
