DOVER — One juvenile was arrested, and police were searching for another after a shooting Monday, Dover Police spokesman Master Cpl. Ryan Schmid said.
The investigation began at 3 p.m., following a shots-fired report on South New Street. Upon arrival, officers located shell casings confirming a shooting and determined that a 14-year-old Dover male and another juvenile male fired handguns at an occupied residence, Cpl. Schmid said.
On Tuesday, a search warrant was executed at a residence on South Governors Avenue, police said, and the 14-year-old was taken into custody without incident. He was transported to the police department where he was processed and arraigned.
The suspect was charged with possession of a firearm by a person prohibited (two counts), first-degree reckless endangering (10 counts), second-degree conspiracy and criminal mischief.
He was committed to the Stevenson House Detention Center, Milford, on $26,000 cash bail.
