John W. Chomiszak

John W. Chomiszak passed away on November 11, 2024 at Kent General Hospital with his wife at his side.

Mr. Chomiszak was born on June 16, 1947 in Philadelphia. He attended North Catholic High School, Temple University, and Philadelphia Wireless. He served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam as an Electronic Avionics Technician and continued this in Civilian Life working for Atlantic Aviation and Lockheed Martin. He enjoyed airplanes since he was six years old.

His interests were all sorts of music, strumming on his bass guitar, fishing,
the beach, growing seeds for vegetables, watching avionics movies, and documentaries on TV.

He was preceded in death by his parents Stella and Walter Chomiszak as well as two brother-in-laws, Paul Briglio and William Mioff. He is survived by his wife Janet Chomiszak, his sister Mary Briglio, sister-in-law Stephanie Mioff, one nephew Michael Mioff, three nieces Gina Mateja (husband Michael), Joann Senier (husband Dan), Michelle Haring (husband Jason), one great nephew Riley Haring, three great nieces Julia and Gia Mateja, and Gillian Senier. He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 AM, Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at
Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE. A visitation will be held after Mass at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, DE 19901.

Interment will be at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Bear, DE following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Wounded Warrior Project or American Diabetes Association.
