GEORGETOWN — The Delaware State Police and Georgetown Speedway management are keeping close eyes on upcoming weather, which could impact Saturday’s Camp Barnes Benefit Stock Car Race.
Should the remnants of Hurricane Ian produce inclement weather, the Camp Barnes race will be rescheduled for Oct. 27, as a kickoff to the Melvin L. Joseph Memorial Mid-Atlantic Championship Weekend.
As of Wednesday, the major fundraiser for Delaware State Police’s Camp Barnes youth facility remains scheduled for Saturday.
The rescheduling will only occur if racing cannot happen either Saturday or Sunday.
