Holy Cross student named VFW Patriot Pen winner

DOVER — The Department of Delaware, Veterans of Foreign Wars awarded Samuel Shevok, a 7th grader at Holy Cross Elementary School in Dover, as the Patriot Pen contest winner.
His winning essay was titled “My Pledge to Veterans.”
Samuel received his state and county-level awards from State Commander Russ Hall.
